Why can't I use a Comcast email?

Why couldn't I use a Comcast email address when I registered?
I looked around and haven't seen an answer why.

Comcast blocks all emails coming from our servers, so you'd never be able to finish registering since the activation emails would not come through.

If you mean stuff from our other network sites, like TFW2005, that is likely happening.
