"I'm really proud we are doing a premiere here: I think it's a wonderful world stage," director Michael Bay told reporters in Moscow, where a crowd of fans waiting for autographs outside one of the city's main hotels attested to the Russian film audience's growing appetite for Hollywood movies.
"I grew up during the Cold War. My grandfather, who is from Russia, said I would never make it into the film business... That's partly why I'm here," Bay said. Actor Shia LaBoeuf said "Dark of the Moon" -- whose action plays out against the backdrop of the U.S.-Russian space race -- was the best yet in the saga. "The third movie is the best one. It's the strongest script we've ever had, it's the best character development, it's paced well, it's shot incredibly," LaBoeuf, who starred in all three movies, told Reuters. "Technologically, it's the most advanced, just the best special effects we've ever devised!" More Images, Information and Videos incoming. Stay Tuned With TFW2005! |

2005 Boards member xterry has shared some nice clear images of the upcoming Transformers Cyberverse Ark playset with us. The playset is one of the larger items in the Cyberverse line and has light and sound features plus an exclusive Legion Class figure, Roller. According to xterry, the set is unfortunately scaled more or less exclusively for Legion class toys... Check out the pictures and decide for yourself.

You're probably asking yourself, "wait WHAT, ROADBUSTER?!". CYBERGUNDAM BLOG has posted scans of the ES Gokin Mugen Calibur. Mugen Calibur was a mecha from an anime called Dorvack, of which Takatoku made a 1/55 toy of. Why is this of any importance? Molds for that toy were licensed to Hasbro for use in Transformers Generation 1.....
....for none other than Roadbuster! If Super Deformed(SD) robot toys are you thing, and you like diecast plus full articulation(and transformation!) check out the scans of the upcoming ES Gokin Mugen Calibur! |

Following Linkin Park’s tweet, Shazam has updated this…
Transformers 3 hits the big screen on June 29 (yes!!!) and if you Shazam any radio or TV commercial for the movie – you’ll get a free download of an exclusive live track by Linkin Park (!!!), behind the scenes video content; plus buy tickets, soundtrack and more ! And as this is one of THE summer blockbusters - you won’t have to go far to see/hear a commercial. So if you’re a Shazamer in the US with the usual suspect smartphones – iPhone, iPod touch, Android, BlackBerry or Nokia – you’re all set to go. This update just arrived from Linkin Park... Watch MTV2 at 8:55 EST tonight for a performance of "Iridescent" from Red Square at the TF3 premiere in Moscow. Check local times. |

TFC Toys have shared a new image of their Exgraver custom Constructicon toy. The new image shows a size comparison with Human Alliance Bumblebee - Exgraver stands almost as tall as HA Bumblebee, giving us an approximate idea of his height - he'll be, roughly, the height of a Dark of the Moon Voyager, give or take. That should mitigate some fandom concerns of a $100 Scout or Deluxe - you're getting a decent sized toy for your money.

Some images have appeared of a possible new third party combiner Transformer. These images - which are very early CAD blueprints - show a helicopter, an ambulance, and... well, I'm not sure what the third vehicle is, some kind of hovercraft? A second CAD image shows a combiner torso, with a land vehicle in the middle and two other vehicles - probably the helicopter and hovercraft, for the arms. The style of the hands in the CAD blueprints resembles those shown for the TFC Toys Power Core Combiners Tanks and Planes add-on, so this might be an entirely fan made Power Core Combiner from TFC Toys. As for who it is - the style is very much a rescue team, so the smart money is on a third party Defensor, though the super robot fan in me sees shades of other rescue-themed combiners, such as Guardion from Brave of the Sun Fighbird on the individual vehicles and Duke Fire from J-Decker on that combined mode head.
These images come to you via ACToys. |

These images come to you via ACToys. Update - ki1983ng of our 2005 Boards reports that this has nothing to do with Transformers, but is in fact based on a Chinese animated called Star Cat Rescue Team. More information, and lots more images, of this cool looking robot can be found on TFClub and ACToys. Even though as it emerges these are NOT Transformers, they still look like incredible designs with a good chunk of that classic anime super robot styling to them. |

Commenting against some tabloid articles posted regarding Shia LaBeouf, Transformers Movie Director Michael Bay said he feels sad to leave the franchise.
I read so many of these articles Shia speaks in, and the quotes are so wonderfully untrue. He is an actor that makes his own reality and that's what I love about him. To think for a second I would leave my own set to have someone shoot and finish the scene would never - ever happen. He is special, and a very talented actor. It has been an amazing five years together. I'm kind of sad to leave the franchise. Michael Director Michael Bay who rebooted the Hasbro brand; Transformers, has dedicated more than 5 years of his life to bring Transformers back among the general public. An appreciation thread is open for you to say Thanks to the man who turned a franchise based on toys into a multimillion dollar Hollywood sensation. |

I just want to take the opportunity to thank all the fans around the world for letting me have fun with the Transformers franchise. It has been a wonderful opportunity to have worked with about 4000 crew members around the world. These artists are some of the very best in the entire film business. I’m honored to have had you work along side me. We had an amazing time.
‘Dark of the Moon’ has some of the most technically challenging sequences ever shot. And shot in 3D. I must urge you to find the very best theatre and see this movie in that format. 3D was a forethought, not an afterthought in this movie. I’m glad Jim Cameron and Steven Spielberg really convinced me to shoot in this new technology. We used and invented many new techniques to make the 3D sharper, brighter and more color contrast. I think theatre owners heard their audience that they need to respect the specs of the projectors and not dim the bulbs to save money. Many theaters are presenting it in the brand new 7.1 sound, which is awesome. This is the most complex, intricate sound track that me and my Academy Awarding winning sound team have done. They really out did themselves to make this a big picture experience. Hopefully you will have as much fun watching this movie as we all had making it. Thanks, Michael Bay |

Some new images have been posted of TFC Toys Junkion Blacksmith sub series. The next wave of their Headmasters concepts are shown as resin prototypes - on show are their Megatron, Blaster and Ultra Magnus, who transform into full-fledged heads for larger Transformers as well as mini versions of their vehicle modes - perfect if you want to make a custom Headmaster Ultra Magnus.
Also on show is the second Infinity Warfare set teased in the instruction manual of the first set. This accessory pack adds even more swords - and parts to connect them into polearms and other lovely melee weapons - into the mix, and is fully compatible with the original set to build a gigantic weapon that even Unicron would look small holding. Just announced - Chevrolet will be releasing a 2012 Camaro with special Transformers Edition trim. The car will feature the following, above and beyond normal options for the car at purchase:
The 2012 Transformers Special Edition will be offered as a $3,000 package on 2LT and 2SS Camaro Coupes with Rally Yellow paint. In addition to the content offered in the popular RS appearance package, the Transformers edition will feature black rally stripes that stretch over the hood, roof, decklid and unique high-wing rear spoiler; 20-inch, black-painted wheels wrapped in high-performance summer tires; and Autobot Shield logos on the center caps and front quarter panels. Inside, the Transformers Camaro has a black leather interior accented with yellow stitching on the instrument panel, center console, armrests and seats. Autobot Shield logos are embroidered on the front headrests, as well as the center console lid. Two dealer-installed options are also available: exclusive, 21-inch, black-painted wheels and a black ground-effects package. Editor's Note - the yellow featured in the promo shots is NOT Rally Yellow. Rally Yellow is the name for GM's stock Yellow color, and looks like this. So picture the above options, on that color, and that is what GM will be offering in 2012. To see pictures, and check the full press release, read on! |

Leonard Nimoy needs no introduction… he doesn’t say much about Transformers: Dark of the Moon… but hey! This is Leonard Nimoy… and it means pure awesomeness.
Hear him as Sentinel Prime on 28th June 2011. |

Some interesting news has reached us here of yet another third party custom Minibot series. This one is called "X-Transbots" with the initial releases being Wheelie and Powerglide, which almost entirely replicate the Jizai Toys designs. These could be one of two things - either the excellent Jizai Toys designs are getting a wider market release beyond their "one day exclusive" status at Japanese hobby shows, or more likely, another group has copied the designs for their own release. These look to be slightly larger than the original versions, given a comparison shot of the two Wheelies. They are expected to be up for preorder in July with a release slated for later this year according to the original poster on ACToys.
We'll update with more information as it becomes available. |

Auto Assembly have uploaded their latest news video to Youtube, with word that this year's latest guest is none other than Nick Roche's partner in crime, the other half of the duo that brought us the legendary Last Stand of the Wreckers, James Roberts! Nick and James did a legendary panel last year (look for it on Youtube later, courtesy of the official Auto Assembly 2012 Youtube channel). Look forward to meeting the man himself at the Holiday Inn Birmingham 12-14 August 2011!

According to a recent interview with Chris Ryall by ComicBookResources, 2 new Transformers Comics will relaunch after the "Chaos" storyline concludes:
You mentioned “Transformers” briefly, and there was an announcement that those series will be released digitally, and of course you’re going biweekly through the end of the year. Is all set to coincide with the new movie? No, we did a couple prequels that lead into the movie, but this is all just our ongoing “Transformers” universe stuff. This was all put into place by [former editor] Andy Schmidt, before he left a few weeks ago. But it’s basically building to big event called “Chaos,” which is the biweekly thing we’re doing through the end of the year, and then out of that is a relaunch of two new “Transformers” titles, and there’s very important reasons in the Transformers universe why these titles are becoming two, how they’re splitting and what’s going to happen from there. It’s a big that’s sort of rocking the whole Transformers status quo and shaking things up to a big degree. You know, I pay a lot of attention to the Transformers message boards, you see all levels of support and grousing. I think a lot of people who have been grousing about feeling things are going too slow, or not happy with the way things are going this way or that, they’re all going to be very happy with where things are heading, because it’s very much in line with what people are saying that they want but also in a way that they’re not going to see coming. It’s a really nice place where Andy left “Transformers,” I think it’s a really solid direction, and some new creators are coming in that are really going to give it some life that I’ve been wanting to see in there. A sign of hope after all the "Chaos"? You decide! |
