We're back with more Transformers related images from Toy Fair 2012! Here for you now are new images of the Shockwave decoed HISStank, a fine follow-on to last year's Starscream Skystriker. The Shockwave HISStank comes with a Decepticon themed redeco of Destro and a BAT, plus some other cool accessories including a trolley of Energon cubes and my personal favorite little touch - a little Soundwave with tiny little cassettes! It's another home-run for Transformers / G.I. Joe Crossover releases!
Speaking of G.I. Joe, have you checked out the coverage of all the new stuff in the pipeline at our sister site, HISStank? Then head on over to Toyark to see even more cool toys that are coming our way in 2012! Keep coming back to TFW2005 for more Toy Fair 2012 coverage all weekend long - and be sure to check out G.I. You've seen the previous pictures including the at-show pictures from Toy Fair 2012 - now go behind the scenes of the creation of Fall of Cybertron Bruticus - the toy - in this interview between Hasbro's Lenny Panzica, lead designer on the Fall of Cybertron Generations line and Kotaku. There's a lot of great information about the design process of bringing the big guy to life as a toy including the original intention to make a "Predaking sized" combiner of the Combaticons! Check it out here!
As a bonus, the interview also comes with clearer, full resolution shots of the five Combaticons in both their modes and Bruticus. You've seen these pictures before - they're just clearer and uncropped here. |

Next up on Transformers Prime we have official images of the Cyberverse series, including the Legion, Commander, Vehicle and Maximus assortments.
Of extreme importance and noteworthiness here is that we have our very first look at the upcoming character Dreadwing, who will be voiced by Tony Todd. According to the file names we were given, Dreadwing is actually a blue version of Skyquake... is this simply an economic move for the toyline or is he actually going to be a reuse of the Skyquake model on the show too? We'll find out soon enough - in the meantime, enjoy the new pictures! While Toy Fair is happening over on this side of the pond, Japan's Wonder Festival is currently going and while toys (such as Figma Link) are getting the spotlight from many sites, a bit of Transformers-relevant news has popped up: Namely the announcement that there will be a Revoltech Movie Bumblebee in the Sci-Fi Revoltech line. While no price is announced at this time, the toy will be a June 2012 release.

Japan's Winter Wonder Festival continues to churn out Transformers news despite the lack of TakaraTomy being at the show itself, this time thanks to CM's Corp. As we've seen previously, CM's Corp is making a toy based on Minerva from Super God Masterforce as well as Ginrai from the same show in their Gutto Kuru line.
At their booth at WonFest we now additional pics of a resin prototype Ginrai and (a possible final version) Minerva, as well as an upcoming "Minerva Special Edition" figure based on the colors of Nightbeat (and the Minerva Night Beat special release in Japan.) Also shown off on the Minerva Special poster (as well as staring at the camera menacingly on display with the two Minervas) is an extra head based on Hi-Q from the Marvel Comics Transformers run that can be attached to the Gutto Kuru Ginrai's body. |

Well folks, here is the bad news that I think a lot of you feared was coming, but did not want to hear regardless. There's been some question to the fate of several upcoming releases left in the Transformers Dark of the Moon line - the sixth wave of Deluxes Wheeljack (aka Autobot Que) and Soundwave, the Target Exclusive two pack of Leadfoot and Twin Twist, as well as Human Alliance Soundwave. Well, by way of El Duque of Seibertron, we have an answer - they are cancelled. These toys are no longer planned for a US release. The same fate has befallen them as with previous assortments, including the Reveal the Shield Voyagers and final assortments of Transformers Animated - low retailer demand in anticipation of the new line.
As always, there is a slender chance that at least some of these - Wheeljack and both versions of Soundwave - might surface at Marshalls, Ross or other discount stores - but for the moment, all of these - including Leadfoot - have only seen a release in Japan. |

The Oscar's are going down live in two weeks time and thewrap.com has posted an interview with Greg P. Russel. Who is Greg P. Russel? Well, Greg is one of several sound mixers nominated for an Oscar award this year. Nominated for his work on Transformers: Dark Of the Moon, the interview goes into depth about what exactly he does for films, what other films he's worked on and how he brought to life all those exploding sounds in Michael Bay's blockbuster. Greg has been nominated for an Oscar for all three Transformer's films.
Read the full interview at the link above and head over to the 2005 Boards to discuss. The 84th Academy Awards Ceremony will be shown on Sunday, February 26th on ABC. |

The official Transformers Facebook page has thrown us another nugget of news. Today, it's an in game shot of Fall of Cybertron Bruticus. According to our Toyfair coverage, forming Bruticus and playing as the character will be essentially like playing with "God-mode" and everything will be destructible.

Superhero Hype brings word that a fourth installment in the CGI spectacular that is the live action Transformers movies is allegedly in the works for 2014. Producer Lorenzo di Bonaventura at an event for G.I. Joe Retaliation stated:
We'll be there in the summer of 2014 He also commented on how they can possibly follow on from the ending of Dark of the Moon, which left several major characters on the scrapheap - namely, it will be a partial reboot / sidestory, which is its own entity but set in the same universe: Again, we're going to try to do a hybrid there where there will be some characters that come forward--we think, we're still in the process of figuring it out--and some characters that don't, but it will definitely be a different story. 2014 is of course also the 30th anniversary of Transformers - so how cool would a new live action movie be in addition to whatever else is planned for the inevitable 30th anniversary toyline? |

June 29, 2014 "There has been a lot of speculation about what I'm going to do next and when or if I will do another Transformers. So let me set the record straight. I have just concluded a deal with Paramount to do two movies, but it won't be two Transformers. I will first do 'Pain & Gain' with Mark Wahlberg and Dwayne 'The Rock' Johnson. Then I will do the next Transformers for release on June 29, 2014. -Michael Bay" |

Our sponsor Robotkingdom has just posted a preorder of the upcoming Transformers: Prime Entertainment Pack featuring both Bumblebee and Starscream. Notably, these are from the First Edition molds, of which many fans have been scrambling for due to the latest cancellation news of the First Edition toys. Both toys feature decos slightly different than their First Edition counterparts. Bumblebee has exchanged some of his black stripes for blue, and Starscream features a bit more purple in some of his detailed areas.
Also to note, the set comes with two MECH figures, one of which is the their leader, Silas. These are in much the same style that we have already seen of Raf from the 2011 NYCC exclusive set. You can place a preorder with Robotkingdom on their preorder page here. What do you think of these figures and their new decos? Be sure to share your thoughts in the ongoing discussion. |

The Carnage Axe was produced in lower numbers compared to their original War Axe, so the group recommends picking it up soon before it sells out! Among their official pictures are various Transformers holding the axe, including a stunning shot (in this news posters opinion) of Generations Sky Shadow wielding the weapon.

Continuing on with their Facebook Q and A sessions, the Hub is asking for fans to submit questions to the one and only, Peter Cullen. The voice of Optimus Prime from Generation 1, the Live action movies and Prime will select five questions and answer them! The answers will be posted next week.
To submit your questions, visit the Hub's Facebook here. Not sure what to ask this legend of the Transformers franchise? Discuss it first, on the 2005 Boards, by clicking the title bar. |

Several 2005 Board members are reporting getting an e-mail from the Transformers Collectors' Club saying that their orders for the Collectors Club exclusive figures, Over-Run (aka Runabout) and Shattered Glass Drift are being shipped. So far, these e-mails are only being received by members who placed their order prior to Fun Publications' stopping preorders due to their credit card processor being overwhelmed.
Be sure to check your inboxes and then shortly after that, your mailboxes! |

The official Transformers Facebook page has updated with a Q&A with Transformers Prime composer Brian Tyler. Brian Tyler provides the epic score to the series, and here he lends us an insight into the creative process behind scoring the scenes, and the reasoning for going the particular direction they have with the score for this series.
Check out the full thing here, and don't forget, the score for season 1 is up for pre-order at Amazon. |

Love is in the air, and even Grimlock is getting in on the action. We have a sweet little Transformers: Fall of Cybertron Valentine's card from Activision and High Moon, creators of the upcoming Fall of Cybertron Video Game. Be careful though. Those teeth look pretty sharp!

A picture has recently been posted on TFCToys' Weibo account of a possible upcoming weapon that may or may not be for their Hercules toy. The rifle seems to be a modular weapon with different configurations for the gun depending on where you attach the parts. There is no word on a release date, price, or even if this weapon will be released.
