Deluxe Sword of Omens Variation
 

I don't know if anyone else has noticed this yet, but I see that Bandai has changed the cat symbol on the Deluxe Sword of Omens toy. The 1st release sword has a more cartoonish style cat symbol and the variation looks like the classic symbol is supposed to look. Check out the pic's, sorry for the glare from the overhead store lights.

I honnestly can't tell the difference from the pictures.

The one I have is the 2nd one that looks better.

The new one has the details correct for the symbol. The 1st release was, I guess supposed to be the modern twist on the cat symbol and then Bandai went and changed it back to the original design from the 80's. You can see the small "lip" details on the new sword.

I thought something looked different on them lately, but I couldn't tell what it was. Good eye!

Woah, I'm glad I didn't buy this yet. I definitely like the classic looking symbol better.

There is a slight difference in the two. I might buy this new version (I have the first version) if it happens to fit into the new deluxe Claw Shield. :)

Honestly....I'm not seeing much, if any, difference. Still, if it looks better in-person than the first one's released at retail, it might push me to finally get one.

Honestly...I don't know how you can't see the difference. The symbols are both completely different in shape and details.

I had to find a picture of the new design online (without too much glare), so hopefully this shows you in better detail how the two symbols are different.

Now that I can see the difference...I actually like the first version much better. Classic logo or not, that looks bad. The first version is changed, but at least it looks good.
