Retellings! Or not?
One of the things I enjoyed about He-Man 2K2 was there was a handful of Episodes that were based on Classic Filmation episodes. And they were always different enough to be a completely new experience.
How would you feel if the new Thundercats show was to do this as well? What episodes would you like to see referenced, or retold? |
I wouldn't be surprised to see some rehashes of older story lines. Based on the trailer, and some interviews, it sounds like we'll get a version of Exodus at some point. I don't mind, so long as the writing is strong.

I would like to see Lion-O's annointment/trials ..

So long as they keep it fresh. Doubt it will be a problem, from the looks of things, but I want the new show to go its own route with only nods and homages to the original.

Agreed. I'd like to see them as different as the He-Man 2k2 versions were. They were very different and just had the core of the story be the same. I'd love to see a new version of Tower of Traps. |

I am all for retelling some of the older episodes. If they can successfully bring Hachiman into this show, I will send them a batch of cookies.

Hachiman is one I am really hoping to see as well.

As long as the series has strong writing staff I'm all for it. We already know this isnt the same TC but I would love some old stories re-told with a fresh re-write

I honestly don't know what I want out of the new Thundercats cartoon. The problem that I'm having is that in the year 2011, I still think that the original Thundercats cartoon is a pretty good cartoon. When it came to doing the He-Man and Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles remakes, I knew exactly what I wanted. Fortunately for the most part, I got exactly what I wanted from those.
